Energy storage

Austria

Back to Energy & Climate Change

The transformation to a renewable energy supply also requires the storage of electricity and other energy sources in order to relieve the pressure on the electricity grids and to replace fossil fuels. The legal framework for the installation, operation and the entire life cycle of energy storage systems is under development and subject to frequent changes. Relatively many uncertainties remain.

CMS has long been involved in the design and implementation of modern energy markets, including storage. Therefore, CMS is not just a transaction or project advisor to the sector. We bring to our advice a market-leading energy storage practice with extensive experience of advising on storage projects, including standalone, co-location and behind-the-meter projects, across a range of technologies.
