Application process and tips

Are you interested in working at CMS? No matter whether you are applying for one of our advertised positions or submitting a speculative application, we want to make the process as quick and as pleasant as possible. 

As soon as we receive your application, we will review your documents and get in touch with you promptly. And as our top priority, we will treat your documents with strict confidentiality at every stage of the selection process.
If you are shortlisted as a candidate, you will be invited to one or two interviews. The first (online) interview will be conducted by HR, while the second interview will include staff working in the specialist fields.

Do you want your application to be successful? Then we have the following tips for you:

• Please send us your complete documentation, including your letter of motivation, CV, degree certificates, diplomas and references.
• Personalise your letter of motivation as much as possible: Show us why you are the right choice for us. We would also like to see you specifically address aspects of the job advertisement.
• Structure your CV well, because a neatly arranged CV with clear headings is absolutely essential to any application.
• Before the online interview, check that your technical equipment is working properly. The interview will be conducted using MS Teams. Please download the app to your device to avoid image transmission issues.
• What if you have problems dialling in? Then you can also switch to your smartphone. Again, we ask that you download the MS Teams app to your smartphone beforehand.
• You should dial in for the online interview 10 minutes before it is due to begin. That way you will still be on time even if you have technical issues.
• If you are invited to a follow-up interview in person, be on time and show the manager that you are well prepared. Ask pertinent questions, be engaged and convince us that you are the right person for the job.
