CMS are delighted to host a session on how we solve the issue of grid connections for renewable energy in the UK. With the ScotWind projects now progressing, the issue of how we connect these huge projects to the grid and ensure efficient transmission of electricity around the UK comes into even sharper focus.

We will hear from Calum Watt about Flotation Energy’s grid connection process with the recently approved Green Volt Project (which will be the largest Floating Offshore Wind Project in the world), Mark Collins of Smarter Grid Solutions, who develop and deliver Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) software that allows energy companies to monitor and control their portfolio of Distributed Energy assets and then Kirsty Nurse, Partner and Laura Sefton, Senior Associate of CMS on some of the steps being taken at a legislative level as well as by National Grid and DNOs to create a pathway for a better connected and managed electricity network.

There will also be an opportunity for Q&A with our expert panel of speakers.
