Covid-19 procedural deadlines for intellectual property law at the EPO

All oral hearings before Examining and Opposition Divisions scheduled until April 30, 2020 are postponed unless they have already been confirmed to take place by means of videoconferencing. All oral hearings before the Board of Appeal scheduled until May 15, 2020 are postponed. During this time the EPO will explore options for further facilitating, where applicable, the use of videoconferencing in oral proceedings. The parties are being notified of postponement separately.  

All deadlines expiring on or after March 15, 2020 are extended until May 4, 2020. This in general also applies for due payments.
