Péter is a senior counsel at CMS who has specialised exclusively in IT and telecommunications-related legal issues since his graduation as a lawyer in 2000. He obtained an LLM in regulatory matters in 2008. 

From 2012 to 2018, he served as chairman of the IT Law Committee of the Council of European Bars and Law Societies (CCBE), and held the position of IT commissioner of the Hungarian Bar Association until 2019. Currently, he is a member of the IT advisory committee of the Hungarian Bar Association. Furthermore, Péter is a Certified Information Privacy Professional for EU privacy law (CIPP/E) of IAPP. 

Throughout his career, he has held various senior lawyer positions at renowned Hungarian law firms. As a lawyer, Péter has extensive experience in IT-related sourcing, outsourcing and regulatory matters, particularly in the banking and finance sectors. He is recognised as a leading expert in Hungary in eIDAS and e-government services. 

Additionally, Péter possesses advanced IT development skills in the legaltech field, especially in document generation and legal analytics solutions. He is the author of the publication “Guide on the use of AI for lawyers and law firms in the EU” and other deliveries of the AI4Lawyers.eu project, co-funded by the European Union.
