Máté is an associate in the finance team of CMS Budapest.

He graduated from Debrecen University in 2015. He has been involved in various project, corporate and real estate domestic and cross-border financings and re-financings, legal due diligences, and is experienced in reviewing, drafting and negotiating facility agreements and security documents. 

Máté has also participated in numerous banking regulatory matters, company establishments, as well as portfolio transfers.

Before joining CMS, he worked in the public sector where he gained experience in the field of public procurement.

  • Raiffeisen Bank on a number of major, high-value real estate and corporate financings, including
    • the financing of the Liget Centre, a prominent office building in Budapest.
    • the equity refinancing of the “Krisztina Palace”, a modern and energy efficient office located in the centre of Buda.
    • a significant acquisition financing matter in which one of the largest Hungarian real estate developers acquired further office buildings at Infopark, Budapest.
  • Several energy financing projects, including:
    • the cross-border financing of three PV power plants with a capacity of more than 80 MW.
    • the financing of the acquisition of one of the largest gas supply companies.
  • A real estate investment company.
    • on setting up its fund management company and the establishment of its real estate investment fund, both unique structures that required complex regulatory expertise.
    • on acquisition financing for a student accommodation project that was the first on the Hungarian market.
  • A major real estate development company
    • on financing for a major office building in Budapest.
    • on refinancing for two prominent office buildings in Budapest, Center Point and Duna Tower.
  • Several major Hungarian financial institutions on drafting and reviewing facility, security agreements and other documents relating to different types of financing and refinancing transactions.
