With almost 10 years' experience, Guillermo also provides general advice on corporate governance and day-to-day assistance in Solvency II regulatory issues, offering support on complex, challenging matters such as EU-wide co-insurance agreements, structured products, outsourcing of critical functions and unit-linked plans. He has represented clients before the Spanish financial regulatory authorities (DGSFP, CNMV, Bank of Spain) in transactions where approval from or notification to the relevant regulators is needed.

Used to working for major financial institutions, Guillermo is also involved in the area of fintech and insurtech, paying attention to the implications of regulatory requirements for innovative products, providing regular advice to payment services entities and other fintech players in their reporting obligations, AML aspects and legal compliance of their unique business models.

Guillermo also advises domestic and international clients on the implementation of their consumer credit business in Spain.
