Paul Baird is an associate in the Finance team.  His practice focuses on advising lenders, borrowers, sponsors and security providers on structuring, negotiating and documenting leveraged finance, general corporate finance, and real estate finance transactions.

Paul has experience of acting on both UK domestic transactions as well as on transactions with a cross-border focus and regularly works with CMS colleagues in other jurisdictions in order to assist clients with concluding their transactions.

Paul trained at CMS and has been an associate at the firm for five years.  He has also spent time as an associate in the leveraged finance practice of a US law firm in London as well as on secondment in the M&A team at a leading financial services institution headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland.
