Michelle is a Senior Associate in our Technology and Media team. Michelle advises on commercial, technology and intellectual property arrangements. She has extensive experience helping clients with the distribution and supply of goods and services, sports and entertainment production and licensing, e-commerce and consumer law issues, software licensing and outsourcing arrangements. 

Prior to joining CMS, Michelle worked for over 7 years in a top-tier TMT team at a large firm in New Zealand. While there, she worked closely with an international Fortune 500 animal health company as part of an ongoing part-time secondment.

  • One of the UK’s largest retailers on the largest outsourcing transaction in the retail sector and one of the largest in the UK tech market, which involved negotiating the MSA and associated schedules.
  • A multi-national leading technology and e-commerce platform on a range of matters, including B2B arrangements and the distribution of goods.
  • NBCUniversal and Sky on the supply of TV content and the provision of services as part of its partnership with African media company Multichoice Group for the Showmax streaming service.
  • A food delivery provider on multiple commercial arrangements, including partnerships and marketing.
  • Major multi-national global tech/media organisations, and local pay TV operators, on the launch of new platforms in new or existing markets.
  • A large telecom network on a majority shareholding purchase of a cyber security company.
  • Global investment management funds and other management companies on multiple smart building and technology arrangements.
  • One of the world’s biggest animal health companies, advising on policy compliance and commercial, consumer, distribution and technological arrangements across multiple markets including New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, South Africa and India.
  • Large pay TV operators, publicly owned news agencies and award winning producers in New Zealand on all things related to entertainment, sports and news content.
